As previously communicated, troubleshooting the issues with the old system was not successful. We have now ordered a complete new barrier arm operator assembly to ensure a permanent fix.
Frontier is hosting two training and Q&A sessions for our residents, 10/16 and 10/20. Please check your email for meeting information. This is a fantastic opportunity to see the new DIRECTV equipment, including the streaming device, remote, and user interface. These sessions will cover the activation process, demo the user experience and allow you to ask questions directly. We will also provide up to date information on the internet service.
Please read the Bulk Services FAQ if you have any questions. A new control board was ordered for the resident barrier arm operator and will arrive by Tuesday, 10/14 for install by the end of the week.
PLEASE use this time to make sure your regular visitors know how to use a QR code and NEVER screenshot it. The new sensor for the resident barrier arm operator has arrived and is scheduled for installation Friday, allowing us to continue troubleshooting and repairing the gate system.
We ask that you make sure all visitors and vendors use the designated Visitor Lane and use the callbox to enter the community. The 2026 budget workshop has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 1, 2005 at 6:00 PM at the clubhouse.
Power & Voltage Fluctuations
Duke Energy has confirmed that the power fluctuations affecting homes in our community as well as the front gates were caused by them diverting our service for about 7 weeks during construction on SR54. As of Monday, September 15th, our power has been routed back to our local substation. According to Duke Energy, this should resolve the frequent power drops that were a cause of some of the gate's recent malfunctions. Onsite Repairs Today The low voltage power for the callbox has now been moved to a local, dedicated electrical circuit, which will provide a stable power source moving forward. The resident barrier arm continues to delay closing after some vehicles and this issue will have to be further investigated after a known faulty part is installed that was ordered today. While we've made significant progress, the closing delay and swing gate sequencing will require further work. We will continue to update you as we work to ensure the gate operates smoothly for everyone. Get ready to clear out your closets and find some great deals!
Our community-wide Fall Garage Sale is scheduled for: Saturday, October 11th, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to turn your unused items into cash and connect with neighbors. We encourage all residents to participate by setting up in their driveways and inviting friends and family to shop. We hope to see you all out there! All repairs have been completed and full access has been restored to the clubhouse doors. We want to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation while we worked to get this issue resolved. We appreciate your understanding of the temporary access changes, which allowed us to keep the clubhouse and pool open while the necessary repairs were made.
The clubhouse access card system has been fully updated with new hardware, utilizing different technology from Cellgate. Your existing access cards should now work correctly. Please wait 1-2 seconds after the card read to open the door.
Card not working? Email a picture (showing the number) to [email protected] for activation - include your address! With the new traffic light on SR 54 now in place, please be prepared for potential delays and longer waits at our exit, as SR 54 traffic will have priority. We recommend adding a few minutes to your commute.
Please use caution: Drivers on SR 54 may not be accustomed to the new light. Also, be aware the right turn lane from our community now also serves as a straight lane, which may cause temporary backups for right-turning vehicles. |
