FAQ: Bulk Services for Internet and TV
Below are answers to common questions about the Frontier & DIRECTV upgrade for our community. This FAQ is designed to help you understand the new services being provided and the upgrade period.

What is our bulk services package for internet and TV?
The Frontier package includes 1 Gbps internet and DIRECTV Streaming with the "Choice" package including premium channels: HBO Max, Paramount+ with Showtime and Cinemax. The Choice package is the starting point, with options to upgrade to higher tiers.

Can I keep my current Frontier internet and/or TV setup?
No, the current bulk contract has ended, and the cable tv service has been retired, so existing set-top boxes are no longer supported. Frontier cable service will no longer work after November 16, 2025. Your internet equipment will need to be upgraded, and the WiFi routers and a new ONT box will be provided as part of this bulk agreement at no additional cost.

How and when will my service upgrades be scheduled?
  • DIRECTV - Our DIRECTV bulk services will be ready for activation after 10/16/2025. You'll receive an email with instructions on how to set up your account and request your included streaming box.
  • Internet - The internet service upgrade process will begin after our easement use agreement concludes on October 16, 2025. Frontier will need to update the hardware at residents' homes to enable 1 Gigabit (1 Gig) service. We'll let the community know the timing as soon as we have additional information.

Does our package include unlimited DVR recording?
Yes! Unlimited Cloud DVR recording is included with no extra devices needed. Video is recorded in the cloud and is accessible from anywhere.

Are local channels and sports included in the DIRECTV Streaming package?
Yes, local channels (e.g., ABC, CBS, CW, PBS, FOX, and NBC) and Regional Sports Networks (FanDuel Florida and FanDuel Sun) are available through DIRECTV Streaming. Please see the channel lineup: https://www.stonegatefl.com/directv.html.

How do I access Max (HBO) and Paramount+ apps that are included with the bulk service?

For Paramount+ Click connect provider and choose DIRECTV Stream.  For Max click the blue link at the bottom that says Create an HBO MAX account.

Will this bulk package eliminate my current monthly bills for internet and TV?
Yes, individual bills from Frontier will no longer be necessary unless you choose to upgrade beyond the bulk contracted services. Each homeowner will be responsible for calling Frontier Bulk Accounts at 844-660-0648 to discontinue any current bills. *Please note internet services are not yet ready to be upgraded.

What devices does the DIRECTV app work with?
The DIRECTV app works with some smart TVs, streaming devices (e.g., Apple TV, Roku, Fire Stick), and mobile devices, allowing use on multiple devices in your household at the same time. Check for compatibility: www.directv.com/support/article/000066174.

What if I don’t have a smart TV or streaming device?
One streaming device will be provided to each home upon activation. This device plugs into an HDMI port and runs the DIRECTV app directly with a dedicated traditional cable style remote. Other smart devices ( e.g., Apple TV, Roku, Fire Stick) can also run this DIRECTV app. Roku and Fire TV Stick are available for HD video at a one time cost of less than $40.

How do I get my one included streaming device and how do I install it?

When you activate your account, you will request the quantity of streaming devices you would like. They will be mailed to your home and will arrive in about 2 days. They are self installed via HDMI port and will replace your existing set top box. Directions will be included in the box and are available here: https://www.stonegatefl.com/directv.html.

How long is the bulk agreement?
The agreement will last for 5 years with small percentage increases each year.

Can residents opt for a basic package instead of being required to pay for premium channels?
No, all homeowners will pay the same amount through quarterly assessments. New assessments will begin in January. Excess funds will be evaluated after the end of 2025 and first applied to lawyers fees for our bulk services contracts.

What if I already have DIRECTV?
The good news is your bills will go down significantly. The bad news is that you will need to cancel your existing service. You will activate the new service as part of the HOA Bulk Account with a different email address than your current account.

When does the switch to DIRECTV take effect, and what should residents do with old Frontier set-top boxes?
After October 16, 2025, you will be able to activate your new service by a link emailed out to the neighborhood. After your new account is working in your home, you must call Frontier (844-660-0648) to cancel your existing TV service. Existing set-top boxes will be collected at the clubhouse for recycling.

What happens to landline phone service provided by Frontier?
This is not part of the HOA negotiated bulk services and will continue to be available.

Will modems be updated to support 1G internet, given the current much slower service?
Yes, once the new service is live, each home will have to contact Frontier to upgrade their service to the new 1GB Bulk service. At that time, you will make an appointment for equipment upgrades in the home. This may involve updating the ONT and providing two Wifi Mesh Routers for each home at not cost to the homeowner.

Is there an option to include the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ bundle?
No

Will I need a dish for DIRECTV Streaming?
No, DIRECTV Streaming does not use a dish—it’s an app-based service accessible via your existing internet on multiple devices in your household simultaneously.
